Welcome to OBRENT. These Terms and Conditions (“Agreement”) govern your use of our car rental services and constitute a legally binding agreement between you and OBRENT (“Company,” “we,” or “us”).
By renting a vehicle from OBRENT, you agree to be bound by these terms.
1. Rental Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and hold a valid driver’s license with at least 1 year of driving experience.

Non-Albanian residents must provide a valid international driving permit if required by law.
2. Booking and Payment

All reservations are subject to availability and confirmation.

Payment can be made via credit/debit card, bank transfer, or cash upon vehicle pickup.

A pre-authorization deposit may be required on your card as a security measure.

Rates include VAT, basic insurance, and limited mileage unless stated otherwise.
3. Rental Duration & Return

Rentals are calculated on a 24-hour basis.

Late returns may incur additional charges unless previously agreed.

Vehicles must be returned in the same condition, with the same fuel level. A cleaning or refueling fee may apply if necessary.
4. Insurance and Liability
-
All rentals include basic Third-Party Liability Insurance, as per Albanian and EU law.

Optional Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) and Theft Protection are available at extra cost.

The renter is liable for any damage, theft, or loss not covered by insurance due to negligence, off-road use, or unauthorized drivers.
5. Vehicle Use Restrictions

The vehicle may not be used:

Outside of Albania without prior written approval.

For racing, towing, illegal activities, or off-road driving.

By unauthorized persons or unlicensed drivers.

GPS tracking may be installed for safety and security.
6. Cross-Border Travel

Cross-border rentals may be allowed to select countries (Kosovo, Montenegro, Greece, etc.) with prior notice and extra fees.

You must comply with EU vehicle safety and customs laws when driving abroad.
7. Cancellations and Refunds

Free cancellation up to 48 hours before pickup.

Cancellations made less than 48 hours prior may be subject to a 1-day rental charge.

No-shows are non-refundable.
8. Customer Responsibilities

You must inspect the vehicle before departure and report any existing damages.

You are responsible for traffic fines, tolls, and parking violations during the rental period.

Notify us immediately in case of accident, breakdown, or theft.
9. Privacy and Data

Your personal data is processed in compliance with EU GDPR and Albanian data protection laws.

Data such as name, contact, driver’s license, and payment details are used only for rental purposes and not shared with third parties except as required by law.
10. Dispute Resolution and Jurisdiction

This Agreement is governed by the laws of the Republic of Albania.

In case of disputes, we encourage resolution through mutual communication. If unresolved, disputes may be referred to the District Court of Durrës.

For international users, EU consumer rights and U.S. contract law standards are respected where applicable.
11. Modifications
-
OBRENT reserves the right to modify these Terms & Conditions at any time. Updated versions will be posted on our website.
